As we have mentioned in a lot of posts for this site some disciplines simply do not work with children. There are many ways to discipline children. Do not let your failed attempt discourage you. Think about why that did not work for you and your children and create a new approach.
Marybeth is very brave for redircting her child in order to discpline her. I have tried this with my own, but it did not work.
